Abbey and Matt's wedding at La Distillerie unfolded inside one of Lisbon's most unconventional venues, a former distillery turned eclectic event space just below the dome of the Panteão Nacional. Crystal chandeliers sit beside taxidermy, a staircase lined with wine bottles leads up to the bar, and the courtyard's cobblestones carry the same warmth as the city streets outside.
The couple began their day at Torel Palace Lisbon, a boutique hotel with sweeping views over the city, before moving to La Distillerie for a first look, an outdoor ceremony, and a reception beneath the venue's barrel wood ceiling. Cocktail hour spilled out onto a tropical-leaning courtyard, and the night ended on the dance floor under a glowing neon Bar sign.
We photograph a maximum of ten weddings each year, and Abbey and Matt's day is a good example of why: a single city venue, used with intention from morning light to last dance.
