We’d like to officially & personally introduce ourselves. The Lopes Photography is Savannah & Rui Lopes.

Savannah is from sunny southern California, USA & Rui is from trendy Lisbon, Portugal. We fell for each other in Lisbon + from there on we couldn´t get enough of each other so, we decided to be together forever by getting married on April 7, 2018.

Together we make things happen. That’s how we knew we wanted to create together. With Savannah´s creative & keen eye for detail (maybe slightly OCD) & Rui´s professionalism and quiet humor.

We’re capturing YOUR memories & emotions!

We want you to be able to relive those emotions. Our goal is to give you the best experience possible.

SOME THINGS WE LOVE

SAVANNAH loves all things green, fashion, mid-century & desert decor, loves to paint, sing/play guitar in her free time, & is a complete weirdo who loves to play & joke around.

RUI loves to be spontaneous & adventure around, loves running to free his mind, loves football online & playing with his bros, he’s always finding ways to be better & create in photography, he is the biggest fruit snob ever (the guy loves quality fruit!), he is also the most quietly funny person alive.

TOGETHER we love to travel together, drink specialty coffee, go on walks & hikes, go on spontaneous drives & adventures, & of course, feed off of each other’s creative ideas!

Between the both of us, we speak/understand: English, Portuguese,spanish, French & Hindi

2. FATHER & DAUGHTER FIRST LOOK

Savannah did an emotional first look with her Dad. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight!

3. A VERY PERSONAL & TAILORED TO US CEREMONY

In La Jolla, California. Rui said his vows in English & Portuguese (language of his heart!) surrounded by our closest friends & family.

4. OUR ROMANTIC PHOTOS

After the ceremony in an open field & forest. It was perfect & an intimate time for us to be… US!

5. RECEPTION & DETAILS

The theme & style was Moroccan/Portuguese.

Our love story started in Portugal when we were going on a trip to Morocco & then, we would end up living in Portugal. So, Moroccan/Portuguese just fit perfectly with our story & theme of the wedding.

For dinner, we had Mexican food (a staple to Californians!) & for dessert, homemade European-style desserts.

Instead of a generic bride & groom table, we wanted a lounge for people to sit down & hang out with us, & for us to be able to look out at everyone, & really take in the special day.

6. FOR OUR FIRST DANCE

Savannah wanted to do something different. Our song is, “If I Ain’t Got You”, By: Alicia Keys & so, she decided to record an acoustic version of her singing it with a friend playing the guitar, & to surprise me (Rui). I literally thought that the DJ got the song wrong! I didn’t recognize it at first. During like a minute into it, I asked if it was her singing… well, SURPRISE! It was so professionally done & special to me.

OUR VISION & OUR PHILOSOPHY

We’re going to cut to the chase & not say something super poetic & deep, because that’s not what’s important to us.

What’s important to us is giving our new clients aka: new friends a memorable experience, where your ideas & ours just flow naturally.

We want to listen to you, because we care about your thoughts & opinions!

So, without the unnecessary traditions & non-traditional poses, we want to make sure we capture your special day as if it's through your eyes!

We want you to have fun, dance, make jokes with your friends, for you to enjoy timeless memories that will only happen once, & that throughout the day you remember why you're getting married to the love of your life.

We will be there to capture all those emotions, because we’re all about them emotions!
