The Lopes Photography is a husband-and-wife Portugal wedding photographer team documenting editorial destination weddings across Portugal, Italy, France and select European destinations.
Rooted in quiet luxury, intentional design and atmospheric storytelling, our approach blends guided direction with honest emotion, creating imagery on digital, film and Super 8 that feels considered, immersive and distinct.
We work with international couples planning celebrations in Lisbon, Sintra, the Algarve, Comporta, the Douro Valley and beyond, taking on only 10 weddings each year for full creative focus.
While Europe remains our primary focus, we also photograph select weddings in the United States.

TEN WEDDINGS A YEAR
We photograph a maximum of ten weddings each year. It is a structural choice, not a marketing line, and it shapes how we work with every couple on our calendar.
Before each wedding, we study the venue’s light at your time of year, where the sun sits at the hour of your ceremony, and how long it takes to move between locations. On the day, we stay deliberate from the first hour to the last, because no wedding blurs into the one before it. Afterward, Savannah edits every gallery personally, which is why our work looks the way it does.
A calendar of ten is what makes that level of attention possible.

Many of the couples we work with are planning their wedding in Portugal from the United States. Savannah is American and Rui is Portuguese, so we understand both sides of the day: what you and your guests expect from home, and how things work here.
Every conversation happens in English, from the first call to the final gallery. We build the timeline with you remotely, work alongside your planner, and arrive knowing the venue and its light. Wedding photography collections start from €10,000, with travel and taxes included.

Hessah and Ali's celebration at Palácio de Queluz is one of the most architecturally considered weddings we have had the privilege of documenting as Portugal wedding photographers. Set within the grounds of the 18th-century Palácio Nacional de Queluz, a Rococo royal residence just outside Lisbon, the day was later published in Vogue Arabia.

We are based in the Algarve and photograph weddings across Portugal, from Lisbon and Sintra to Comporta, the Douro Valley, and the Algarve coast, as well as in Italy, France, and select destinations in Europe. We also photograph select weddings in the United States.

Our wedding photography collections start from €10,000, with travel and taxes included. Every collection includes film and digital, and Super 8 can be added to any collection. Multi-day and full-weekend coverage is tailored to each wedding.

Most couples book us twelve to eighteen months before their wedding, usually as soon as the venue is confirmed. Because we photograph ten weddings a year, spring and early autumn dates fill first.

Sneak peeks arrive within 24 to 72 hours, and the full gallery within three to three and a half months. Rush gallery delivery in four weeks is also available.

Yes. Every collection includes film alongside digital. Super 8 is an optional addition to any collection, and it can also be booked on its own for weddings that already have a photo and video team.

Yes. Many of our couples host a welcome dinner, the wedding day, and a farewell brunch, and we tailor coverage to the full weekend so the story holds together from the first evening to the last.
